Our Mission:

"Teach elementary school children living in the Sacramento region about proper care and management of their teeth and body through a variety of lectures, experiments, and guided drawings run by our presenters."

The Goals of the Sacramento Oral Health Academy are:

Teach children (grades Kindergarten-6th) about the importance of brushing, flossing, and making good health decisions.
Teach children the importance of maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet.

The Oral Health Society utilizes the Sacramento Oral Health Academy Curriculum, which includes lessons covering the topics of:

What the different types of teeth are and their specialized function in regards to eating
The different components of the human mouth
How to brush, floss and maintain superior oral health
Why we brush, floss and visit the dentist regularly
Why it is important to have a healthy diet
How to make conscious food decisions
What to do in case of dental emergencies
